Gosh, I'm a bit late with these but I just got an email about these Furla Candy Bags and 5 minutes later I'm at war with myself over which colour I want. Although, since the contents of my purse equal roughly 8 pounds, I'm getting a little ahead of myself.

For a girl who loves all things tacky, what better than a brightly coloured translucent bag for the summer?!

They come in the above colours, plus a couple of variations, including these:

I'm actually quite the fan of tacky-chic and I have been for a while. I have a barbie pink satin jacket from American Apparel which is probably the tackiest thing I've ever seen, but even though I know it's sort of hideous, it's still one of the best things I own. As long as it's worn right.

Naturally, I'd love to get the pink one and wear it with all black and nude, low maintenance hair and matching pink lips, but given the price tag I'd only be able to purchase one (if I'm lucky) and the pink is a little cliche for a tall skinny platinum blonde.

I absolutely loveeee how this one has been styled by Alexandra on Lookbook. So stunning!

I'm thinking I'd probably wear it something like this but with either bigger heels or completely flat boots, and minus the jacket:

Alternatively, I think any colour would be pretty cute with a black oversized blouse, some leggings and my bow heels (similar to the ones above). Or with a fitted black blazer, high waisted pleated mini, stripey tights and black Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots. And I'd love to trash up the transparent bag by keeping the Lita boots on and teaming them my studded leggings, cropped leather jacket and aviators.

What do you think of them? Good tacky or bad tacky?! And which colour do you like best?

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof

Hmmm. When it comes to makeup, there are certain rules I normally apply. In my opinion, no matter what you read, there's no miracle second chance for skin and the more you invest in it, the better. Over-fragranced, over-advertised and low priced skin products always stay off of my bathroom shelf and out of my makeup bag. Which explains why I'm more than happy to spend £24 per bottle on my oil free, non acnegenic and SPF 10 Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

But...

Eyeliners, mascaras, eyebrow pencils, (even eyeshadows to some extent) vary very little from brand to brand, and although I'd rather have my YSL mascara, Clinique eyebrow pencil and MAC eyeshadows, I can quite happily go without.

Until I began working on a cruise ship.

In my fragrance/skincare/cosmetics shop, I sold mainly Chanel and L'Oreal make-up products, and since running out of my previous eyeliner I decided to have a go with this one - Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof, in 'Ebene'.

I really cannot recommend this product enough. I am sick to death of 'black' eyeliners that require layers and layers of application before giving you somewhat of a thick, smudged, mid grey line.

And then smudge.

And then run half way down your face.

And barely even exist a couple of hours into your night out.

You get the picture. For £17 it's pretty steep for an eyeliner, but it's seriously worth every penny. You get great precision and a real 'black' line that actually lasts until you decide to remove it. It also has a really handy mini sharpener built in, perfect for taking it on nights out. Who wants to stand in the ladies loo's and whip out a pencil sharpener!?

Unluckily for me, I've just ran out of this and until I can afford to get some more, my makeup bag (and face) will really, really miss it.

World's worst blogger

So sorry for being the world's worst blogger, I've been meaning to update for far too long, but as my life is lacking interesting events and my bank account is lacking adequate funds I have no exciting news or purchases!

I decided I was too bored of sitting around waiting for a job to find me so I've been out and about doing promotional work for the Nintendo 3DS Tour, The Gym Group and the Yorkshire Mafia Business Conference (a rather random combination of jobs). I've also somehow managed to bag myself a fashion writer job but I'm still waiting for the launch before I can say anything interesting about it!

Anyway, tomorrow (or the next day since I'm going out tonight) I'll post something real and fashion-related, but for now here's an apology for being rubbish and another uninteresting picture of my face.

I bought my little Coco a collar and lead combo (cutest thing ever?!) despite the fact she's not actually able to go for walks yet since she's too young and has only had one of her injections so far. She's so tiny, I had to cut off most of the collar and punch a whole set of new holes to make it fit! I know this is a really random bit of post but she's so cute that I had to put this picture somewhere.

Someone asked a few days ago about the red lipstick i wear, i accidently said it was Chanel Rouge Coco but it's actually Rouge Hydrabase in shade 65 'Fire', but the whole hydrabase range has been discontinued, sorry :(

Since i never post anything remotely connected to my actual life on tumblr i thought i'd better give it a go it on here.

Anyway so yesterday i went into Leeds and promised myself I wouldn't buy anything after checking my online banking, but I bought two rings, a black and silver one and a red heart. I have pretty much every colour heart ring imaginable now.
I bought a bow cuff from the Topshop sale, it came with a couple of bangles and things but bangles are a pet hate of mine, I have tiny wrists and if I actually liked any then they'd just fall straight off. Lucky that I don't generally like them anyway I suppose.
Lastly I had to get my ever essential silver shampoo, I'm not getting on with the Matrix one anymore, it's just like a watered down version of this Schwarzkopf BC Color Save one and it's too much effort. So I bought this ENORMOUS industrial sized bottle. Wonderful.
So everyone who asks me about my hair, this is what to get. This massive bottle only costs £13.99 from hair city in Leeds and it really is worth it.

I've finally almost finished sorting through my cruise pictures so I'm gonna make my first cruise post later. Sorry it's been so long coming but I brought 3 cameras with me and have only just managed to sort all of the pictures out! xoxo

simple outfit, i just liked the contrast between the studs, the sheepskin and the lace ring/necklace, although i can't say that it's winter appropriate!
